The Burbank Public Library offers an Interlibrary Loan Service (ILL) to provide materials not owned by the libraries in our City. Requested items will be brought to a Burbank Public Library for your use.

  • This service is available to anyone who has a valid Burbank Public library Card
  • There is a $6.00 nonrefundable service fee per item, automatically charged to your library account whether we are able to obtain the item or not. You will be notified ahead of time if the lending library wants to apply additional charges
  • Requests may be submitted by filling out a form in person at any Burbank Library
  • There is a maximum limit of 5 ILL requests/checkouts at a time
  • Items not available through ILL include: current bestsellers, recently published books, items in special collections, reference books, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks and full runs of newspapers or magazines
  • It may take 4-6 weeks to receive the item
  • There are no renewals. The loan period is determined by the lending library. Return materials on time and in good condition to avoid suspension of privileges
  • Return Interlibrary Loan materials with the ILL label attached to the Library where you picked up the item
  • If you lose or damage the item, notify the library immediately. You are responsible for paying the replacement costs for any lost or damaged materials as invoiced by the lending library
