Dewey was unveiled as the new Burbank Library mascot on May 21, 2014. The library mascot design contest was a volunteer effort of the Burbank Neighborhood Leadership Program Class of 2014.
Out of more than 250 submissions, Dewey the Dragon, created by Chris Runco, a local Burbank artist, cartoonist, and art director -- was the ultimate choice to become the first-ever mascot of the Burbank Public Library.
