Teen Advisory Board

Are you interested in being on Burbank Public Library's Teen Advisory Board? The board provides input on what kinds of programs and activities teens would like the library to provide.

Members commit to meeting once a month for about 1.5 hours, usually on the first Wednesday evening of the month, to serve as resources, advisors, and sometimes even event planners for teen programs at the library. (Other meetings as needed for the actual events as they occur.)

You might be on a subcommittee, such as Teen Relations, Teen Tech, Readers' Advisory, Design/Public Relations Advisory, or ?

We are looking for teens who are:

  • In grades 7-12

  • Enthusiastic about the library and the community

  • Dedicated, and able to commit to mandatory meetings

  • Able to work independently

  • Able to work with or train other teens

  • Excellent communicators

Permanent TAB members will be selected by the TAB supervisors (i.e., the teen librarians), based on demonstrated dedication, skills, behavior, and abilities.
